Player Page Guide

Description

Place your player's @desc here. Like so:

Example is a sturdy old greenrider with brown hair and eyes and a limp.

You can add all your clothing descriptions using the following code:
collapsible show=">> Show Outfit 1 <<" hide=">> Hide Outfit 1 <<" folded="yes"
Description of Outfit 1
/collapsible
collapsible show=">> Show Outfit 2 <<" hide=">> Hide Outfit 2 <<" folded="yes"
Description of Outfit 2
/collapsible
and so forth...

The results will look like this:
The same can be done for any +view's or other such attributes.

History

This should always start with your +info, but once you have that in, feel free to expand upon it! You can use the collapsible code here as well to section your history off into manageable slices if you need to.

collapsible show=">> Show Part 1 <<" hide=">> Hide Part 1 <<" folded="no" hideLocation="both"
History part 1: text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text

collapsible show=">> Show Part 2 <<" hide=">> Hide Part 2 <<" folded="yes" hideLocation="both"
History part 2: text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text
/collapsible
You can add as many segments as you need.

The results will look like this:

Personality

This is completely voluntary, but if you'd be willing to put together some general personality information, maybe some of your character's thoughts about their area admin or recent events, it will give other players RP hooks. :)

Family

Here we are building a chart. Check it out:

||~ Name ||~ Relation ||~ Location ||~ Position ||
|| Momma || Mother || GLC Hall || GLC Jman ||
|| Poppa || Father || GLC Hall || GLC Jman ||
|| Sis || Sister || TEW || Bluerider ||
|| Bro || Brother || SMC Hall || SMC App ||

This code results in this:
Name Relation Location Position
Momma Mother GLC Hall GLC Jman
Poppa Father GLC Hall GLC Jman
Sis Sister TEW Bluerider
Bro Brother SMC Hall SMC App

Here's a brief key:

Name: The name of the family member
Relation: Said person's relationship to your character
Location: Where they are on Pern
Position: Their craft affiliation/rank, rider rank, holder rank, etc.

Parents, siblings, spouses and children are the most common family that players list, but you can include other relations if you have ideas for them. Try to not go overboard, but I know some people (*cough*L'ton*cough*) have big families and will need to use more space. Try sectioning your chart if it gets particularly large by grouping family members together into smaller charts, and using the collapsible code. Here's an example of a greenrider who has two families with two different weyrmates, and of course has her own parents and siblings:
collapsible show=">> Show Immediate Family <<" hide=">> Hide Immediate Family <<" folded="no"
||~ Name ||~ Relation ||~ Location ||~ Position ||
|| Momma || Mother || GLC Hall || GLC Jman ||
|| Poppa || Father || GLC Hall || GLC Jman ||
|| Sis || Sister || TEW || Bluerider ||
|| Bro || Brother || SMC Hall || SMC App ||
/collapsible
collapsible show=">> Show Family 1 <<" hide=">> Hide Family 1 <<" folded="yes"
||~ Name ||~ Relation ||~ Location ||~ Position ||
|| Hunkaman || Ex-Weyrmate || TEW || Brownrider ||
|| Boyo || Son || TEW || GLC App ||
|| Girlie || Daughter || TEW || Greenrider ||
/collapsible
collapsible show=">> Show Family 2 <<" hide=">> Hide Family 2<<" folded="yes"
||~ Name ||~ Relation ||~ Location ||~ Position ||
|| Hunkaman2 || Weyrmate || TEW || Bluerider ||
|| Boyo2 || Son || TEW || Weyrbrat ||
|| Girlie2 || Daughter || TEW || Weyrbrat ||
/collapsible

This would result in the following:
Name Relation Location Position
Momma Mother GLC Hall GLC Jman
Poppa Father GLC Hall GLC Jman
Sis Sister TEW Bluerider
Bro Brother SMC Hall SMC App

And so on. :)

Firelizards

We have a nifty bit of code set up here that will let you list the details of your flits without taking up way too much room.

span style="color:darkgoldenrod"Bronze/span Flit1
Adult (base) desc goes here!
collapsible show=">> Click to View Egg/Hatchling Information <<" hide=">> Hide the Egg/Hatchling Information <<" folded="yes"
//Egg Name//
Egg Desc
//Hatchling Name//
Hatchling desc
//Inspiration//
Inspiration text.

Dam: span style="color:gold"Gold Momma/span
Sire: span style="color:darkgoldenrod"Bronze Poppa/span
Credits: Created by Moria as an example!
/collapsible
span style="color:green"Green/span Flit2
Adult (base) desc goes here!
collapsible show=">> Click to View Egg/Hatchling Information <<" hide=">> Hide the Egg/Hatchling Information <<" folded="yes"
//Egg Name//
Egg Desc
//Hatchling Name//
Hatchling desc
//Inspiration//
Inspiration text.

Dam: span style="color:gold"Gold Momma/span
Sire: span style="color:darkgoldenrod"Bronze Poppa/span
Credits: Created by Moria as an example!
/collapsible

All of this gets you the following:
Bronze Flit1
Adult (base) desc goes here!

Green Flit2
Adult (base) desc goes here!

Nifty, yes? We use the following colors:
span style="color:gold"Gold/span
span style="color:darkgoldenrod"Bronze/span
span style="color:brown"Brown/span
span style="color:blue"Blue/span
span style="color:green"Green/span

Which generate these colors:
Gold, Bronze, Brown, Blue, and Green.

If you have decided to make a page for your firelizard (because they are just that cool!) make sure that you add a link to the firelizard's page in it's name.
Example:

span style="color:green"Green/span [Flit2]

This creates the following:
Green Flit2
You can still have the base details on your character page if you have a firelizard page. Check out the Firelizard Page Guide of you are curious about what a firelizard page can do for you!

Dragon

If you have a dragon, please place the name of your dragon (including their color and any hatchling name) here, and then their description. The actual name (not including color) should be coded as a link to the dragon's page (format is dragon:<name>). In the example, I've replaced <name> with faq and named the link Exampleth so it looks normal, without wasting a page on dragon:exampleth.

span style="color:darkgoldenrod"I See Dead People Bronze/span [Exampleth]

Exampleth is an old, scrawny bronze dragon who has clearly seen better days.

I See Dead People Bronze Exampleth

Exampleth is an old, scrawny bronze dragon who has clearly seen better days.

Logs

Every character should have log links, even if the logs aren't stored here.

tabview
tab Tab 1
* [Log Instructions]
/tab
tab Tab 2
* External Log!
/tab
/tabview

This creates:

So you can add as many logs to a given tab as you want by placing each link on it's own line and prefacing it with an asterisk (*). This creates the nice bullet point.
 • Always double-check the address for a log you are adding.
 • Internal logs use the triple-bracket code. External logs are single-bracket.
 • Remember to assign a name to the log in your log-view. Use | to separate the link and name on internal logs, and a space between the address and name for external logs.
 • Still confused? Check out the Log instructions for a more in-depth analysis of these components.
